We stepped away from our traditional Novo branding to create a design that would stand out on our Instagram feed and in-store signage, all while conveying the fun and playful spirit of the event. The “Summer Camp” theme guided all of our design choices.
I began with the main camp sign “logo,” combining and modifying several pieces of stock art. I wanted the “Novo Coffee” text to have a retro feel, like an old camp sign from the 1950s, so I chose a classic script typeface. The rest of the text was a font that mimicked the style of old national park signs. For a touch of whimsy, a small yeti was added, walking near the tree.
The rest of the design was inspired by vintage sticker sheets, featuring a collection of stock illustrations reminiscent of summer camps. This was an incredibly fun project, and the event itself was a huge success!
