The Novo Coffee website began as a brand refresh in collaboration with The Made Shop. We quickly determined that an updated website was necessary, as the previous version was outdated and didn’t align with the new branding.
I set up a server, installed WordPress, and used a flexible, framework-style theme. The Made Shop provided design direction for pages, which I then used as inspiration to build the actual website pages and products. This process required close collaboration with The Made Shop to translate their designs into a flexible, responsive format for all devices. It involved back-and-forth communication and custom CSS to bring the vision to life.
Once the main pages and product designs were finalized, I synced the products and customer database entries to the new site. After some domain management, the new website was live!
The new website showcases modern capabilities like responsive layouts, improved SEO, enhanced server and application security, and server caching. Most importantly, it streamlines the customer experience, eliminating the need for over ten clicks to complete a purchase. While these improvements are standard in today’s web design, they were not present on the old site.
